Your details, kept simply
Chinna Nadhi is a magazine for children and teenagers, run by Namma Nilam Publishers, Chennai. Because most of our readers are under 18, we collect as little as we can, and we never use it to advertise to children.
Reading needs no details
Anyone can read every article without signing up, logging in or giving a name. To see how many people read our pages, we keep simple counts of page visits, the page you came from, and the country and device type, without cookies and without identifying anyone.
Email updates are for grown-ups
Our email sign-up is meant for parents, teachers and readers aged 18 or over. If you are younger, please ask a parent or teacher to sign up for you. We keep the name, email address and town typed into the form, and the time and country it came from. We use it only to send Chinna Nadhi updates and the news of the printed issue. Every email has a link to stop them.
Comments on articles
Readers can send a comment with a first name and, if they like, a town. We do not ask for an email address. A comment appears only after our team reads and approves it. We remove phone numbers, email addresses, school names and home addresses before anything is published. To stop spam we keep a scrambled code made from the internet address for one hour; we never store the address itself. Comments that are not approved are deleted within 60 days.
Letters to us
If you write to us through the contact page, we keep what you send so we can reply. We do not publish letters, questions or drawings from children without a parent's or teacher's agreement, and even then we show only a first name, class and town.
Where it is kept
Your details are stored with our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and are seen only by the Chinna Nadhi team. We never sell or share them.
Your choices
To stop our emails, use the unsubscribe page. A parent or reader can ask us to see, correct or delete anything we hold, or to take down a published comment, through the contact page, and we will act on it promptly.
